PUTTING INSPIRATION IN ACTION
Tara Dennis
For our latest block print collection, it was the colours of Jaipur that inspired the palette.
Known as the Pink City, Jaipur's old painted buildings have faded over time to the softest clay pink hues.
I didn't want the pinks too pink, rather soft and warm like the old walls and doors and the beautiful warm Jaipur sunsets.
With this colour in mind, our beautiful collection was born.
Armed with travel inspiration and plenty of photos, I was able to reflect on the beautiful artistry I saw on my travels, as well as the textures and the mood. The smallest details caught my eye and helped direct the style and flow of the patters in our print.
You too can use this method to help with your design and styling decisions.
The blush pink of these doors and just the hint of faded earth tones peeling through inspired our blush palette.
I created a variety of patterns using this beautiful colour-way, the natural tones bring warmth and life to a room and are so easy to mix and match.
If you're starting a new design scheme and looking for a place to start, why not begin with a mood board? Incorporating happy memories and things that inspire you will make your home unique and truly you!
