A rug can be the starting point of a beautifully decorated room, or the perfect finishing touch. Our collection has something to suit almost any interior style, from soft neutrals to moody and bold accents. Made in Turkey from high quality synthetic fibres, our rugs are soft, durable, colour-fast, and easy to maintain in even the busiest homes.
Rugs are a staple for any room in the home. Providing warmth as well as texture and visual interest a floor rug is the ideal piece to bring a room together.
Most of the rugs in our patterned rug collection feature a neutral colour palette with a design reminiscent of a lovingly worn Turkish rug.
Whether you're looking for a large floor rug for your living room or a small rug beside the bed you’re sure to find something you love in this collection.
Power loomed in Turkey our patterned floor rugs have a few different compositions.
Please read the product descriptions of your preferred rug to find out more about its materials.
Most of our patterned floor rugs are made with a combination of cotton, synthetic fibres and/or viscose.
Polyester is a common material seen in floor rugs. It’s a popular choice due to its bright colours and soft texture.
Polyester is soft underfoot making it ideal for areas where you’re looking to add a little softness like the bedroom of living room.
Polyester rugs are generally easier to maintain than rugs made from other materials like wool or viscose which can often be difficult to clean.
As polyester is stain and fade resistant, spills won’t affect the synthetic fibre as much as other materials making them ideal for use in high traffic areas such as living rooms and dining rooms.
Polypropylene is another synthetic fibre used in our rugs. It’s a popular choice for this style of rug as it has good stain and water resistance. It’s non-porous so your rug is less likely to take on and hold odours.
While it is fade-resistant it’s best to keep these rugs out of areas of the home that may receive a large amount of sun or get very hot in summer as excess heat can weaken these fibres.
Viscose is a manmade semi-synthetic fibre made from wood pulp from trees like eucalyptus and bamboo. It’s a popular material for floor rugs like these due to its silk-like properties and versatility.
Viscose rugs are ideal for low traffic areas like a bedroom or secondary living area where they can be kept dry and clean.
As viscose is a fairly delicate fibre it’s not the recommended choice for households with pets or young children. For busy homes like these, we recommend our high performance rug collection.
Cotton is mostly used in these rugs as a construction material. It’s generally only used to hold the other fibres together and is only visible from the underside of the rug.
80x150cm The smallest size of our patterned floor rugs is 80x150cm. This petite rug is a great choice for beside the bed, in a small hallway area or inside a walk-in wardrobe.
160cm x 230cm This size is often used in a small bedroom under a single bed, home office, playroom or to define a small sitting area in a larger space.
200cm x 300cm Commonly used in bedrooms under a double or queen size bed.
240cm x 330cm Good size for use under a king bed or generously styled queen bed. This size is also suitable for use under a small dining table and is quite often found in living rooms.
300cm x 400cm This large floor rug is suitable for use in living rooms and generous enough to comfortably sit under a dining table.
Hall Runners
80cm x 300cm This size is well suited to a hallway or any other long narrow space. Most of our patterned floor rugs are available in this size. Some are also available in custom lengths
Custom length Some of our floor rugs are available to order in custom lengths. These rugs are 80cm wide and available in whatever meterage length you need for your space.
The sizes above are general recommendations only and do not take into account your personal setting.
We generally recommend your floor rug be generous enough to allow for your furniture to be comfortably arranged on and around your rug.
When in doubt, choose a large rug rather than a smaller size to create a room that looks thoughtfully designed.
Need help to choose a size? See our Rug Size Guide for lots of handy tips.
It’s by no means a rule that your hall runner should match your large rug however if this is your preference the rugs in this collection are perfect for you.
Most of these rugs are also available in hall runner sizes of 80x150cm or 80x300cm. Some are also available in custom lengths. For more information on rugs with matching runners please feel free to contact us online or visit us in store.
These are several good reasons to include a rug under your dining table.
Rugs are a great design tool to anchor a space and stop your table and chairs from appearing to float around in the larger area of your dining room. Your rug can complement the style of your table setting and the surrounding decor while also adding texture and colour to the space.
Low pile rugs are a great choice for under the dining table. Our Lauren rug and Ava rug are very low pile and made from polyester and recycled cotton. Low pile rugs allow your dining chairs to move around easily allowing you and your guests to get up and down from your seats with minimal effort.
Polyester and polypropylene rugs are also reasonably easy to clean, ideal for any inevitable spillages that are sure to happen around a dining table.
If you love the look of a rug under the dining table but not sure about the practicality, you might be interested in our Vinyl Floor Mats. These will give you the visual interest of a rug with maximum durability and easy cleaning power.
Rugs are a must have for bedrooms with hardwood, tiled or cement floors. They provide warmth and softness which is ideal for your bare feet first thing in the morning.
A rug under your bed will help to anchor the space as well as add some character and style.
Choose colours and patterns that complement your bedding and other key pieces in the room like artwork.
Our Huntington Rug is a popular choice for bedrooms as it has a lovely long pile and subtle pattern with a soft off white colour that will suit just about any interior style.
The Huntington rug comes as standard with tassels however these can be removed on request if you would prefer.
The Newberry Rug is also a good choice for use under the bed as its dense viscose pile provides a lovely soft, cushiony feeling underfoot.
Floor rugs not only help to absorb noise bouncing around your room they also provide a soft landing ground for feet and shoes helping to reduce the day-to-day noise created by busy families moving around the house.
Rugs are also a great way to reduce noise in an apartment where you may have downstairs neighbours or housemates to think about.
A rug under a dining table helps to reduce the noise of sliding chairs and moving feet.
High pile rugs will absorb more sound and are ideal for use in the living room or bedroom.
Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Vacuum with a soft brush attachment on a gentle setting.
Clean all liquid spillages immediately.
