Rugs are a staple for any room in the home. Providing warmth as well as texture and visual interest a floor rug is exactly what you need to bring a room together. The Cambridge floor rug features a neutral colour palette with a design reminiscent of a lovingly worn Turkish rug. The rug is the perfect transitional piece. It will fit beautifully with a range of home decor styles from French Provincial to Boho to a Modern home. This elegant and luxurious rug features a finely textured soft pile, made from viscose and polyester. Power loomed in Turkey the Cambridge rug also has shed-resistant, anti-static properties.
Rug lead time and availability.
Your rug will be available approximately one to two weeks from your date of purchase. Our suppliers do everything they can to ensure they have all of their products in stock however if your rug does happen to be out of stock at the time of your order we will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss the available options. Please note, not all sizes/styles are held in store. If you would like to see this piece in person before placing your order please feel free to give us a call and we can advise you on its current availability.
How to choose the right size rug for your space.
Your floor rug should be generous enough to allow for furniture to be comfortably arranged on and around it. When in doubt, go larger rather than smaller for a room that looks thoughtfully designed. Need help choosing a size? See our Rug Size Guide for lots of handy tips.
We strongly recommend carefully measuring your home to ensure that your new floor rug will not only fit into its intended new home, but can be manoeuvred easily into position taking into account the size of doorways, stairways, elevators etc.
How to care for your rug.
Do not expose to direct sunlight. Vacuum with a soft brush attachment on a gentle setting. Clean all liquid spillages immediately. See our Rug Care Guide for more information.
Take home a small rug to try in your home.
Before deciding on a new rug for your home, we recommend taking home one of our 80x150cm rugs to try. This gives you the chance to see a rug (or two!) in your space to make sure it's the perfect fit.
The cost of this rug is then redeemable towards the purchase of a larger rug once it has been returned. This small rug is fully refundable if you decide not to go ahead with your rug purchase.
Samples purchased in-store should be returned to us the next day. If you are purchasing online, please let us know you’ll be returning the rug as soon as possible. Please note: Return shipping costs for samples purchased online are the responsibility of the customer.
Colour variation
Actual colours may vary slightly. We take great care when photographing and editing our product images to ensure they reflect the true colours of the piece. Please be aware colours can look different from one screen to another. Colours can also appear different when the item is in your home due to different lighting conditions and colours surrounding the rug. To ensure you have the best possible experience we strongly encourage you to purchase an 80x150cm rug before ordering your larger piece. These small rugs can be returned for a full refund or credit towards the purchase of your full size rug. Taking one of these small rugs allows you to see the style you like in its intended space to properly experience the colours, materials and patterns. Any purchases made without a previous small rug trial will not be able to be returned due to colour variation. See more information about our sample rugs above.
Returns Policy for Rugs
Please consider where you intend to place your rug. Rugs are intended to be placed on hard floors only. Do not place rugs on on carpeted floors where the rug will move, kick up and not sit flat. We will not accept returns where rugs have been placed in situations where the floors are carpeted or not perfectly flat and firm.
Your rug will be ordered especially for you when you make your purchase as we don't hold all rug styles and sizes in store. As a general rule we do not accept any returns on special order items. However, we want you to love the rug you buy from us so we have amended these rules for rug purchases.
If you change your mind you may return the rug to us for a store credit only. If you require a refund this will incur a 20% restocking fee. The rug must be returned to us in unused "as new" condition. The return of the rug and any costs associated with its return is the responsibility of the customer.
This is a special order product and is not able to be returned for an exchange or refund due to change of mind, or if it does not suit your home. We highly recommend taking extra care to check your measurements of both your home and the item you are ordering to avoid any disappointment.
Faults or other queries
If you believe you have received a product with a fault, please contact us by emailing shop@pepperwhites.com.au with your order or receipt number, and a member of our team will get in touch with you directly.
We encourage you to purchase a sample or 80x150cm rug before purchasing a larger size. These are fully refundable once returned to us.
Please take careful measurements to ensure you are happy with your design choice and size of rug before proceeding with your purchase. We want you to love the rug you buy from us, however if you change your mind, please note that you will be offered a store credit only. This does not expire and can be used at any time. This item must be returned, at your cost, to us within 14 days after you receive it and must be in unused “as new” condition. If you would prefer a refund, a 20% restocking fee will apply.

To ensure you receive your delivery as soon as possible, most of our rug orders are shipped directly from our supplier. You can expect your rug to arrive approximately seven to ten days from your date of purchase.
We are unable to provide an allocated delivery day and time. Please let us know if there is a secure location where your rug can be left if you are not home at time of delivery. Alternatively, you may chose to pick it up from our store.
SHIPPING CALCULATION
We are happy to offer free delivery on our rugs within Sydney metro areas. Please note that this free service does require someone to be home to receive the rug, or have a suitable spot for it to be left unattended (please leave us a note when you place your order). If this isn’t convenient, we can arrange for your rug to be available for collection from our store, or we can discuss alternative delivery methods. This may require a delivery fee. Delivery outside Sydney metro areas will require a special quote. Please contact a member of our team for more information.
