Keeping your wicker storage baskets looking their best doesn’t have to be a chore. The best thing you can do to keep your basket looking its best is regularly remove loose debris and dust with a soft bristle brush or dry cloth. If done regularly keeping your basket clean and dust-free will be quick and painless. 

How to keep wicker baskets going mouldy

If you are using a wicker basket in a bathroom or another wet area of the home you may need to take some extra precautions to keep your basket from mould. As wicker baskets are made with natural materials they will tend to absorb water. 
The trick here is good ventilation in the bathroom. This is essential for preventing moisture build-up in any space and is especially important in a bathroom.
Keep your basket as dry as possible. Avoid using wicker baskets in areas of the bathroom where it’s likely to get wet. Avoid placing wet or damp items directly into the basket.
It can be a good idea to periodically rotate and air out your wicker basket to allow them to breathe. Every now and then remove your basket from the bathroom and place it in a well-ventilated area overnight.
