Bring natural warmth and texture into your home with a jute runner. Our Herringbone jute runner is hand-woven from renewable and biodegradable fibres, with a natural, chemical-free latex rubber backing to help strengthen the finished runner. Due to the handwoven nature of these hall runners, slight size variations and imperfections in the weave are to be expected, lending a lovely relaxed feel to the style of the runner. Jute rugs are well suited to a range of interior styles from coastal and Hamptons, to farmhouse, and contemporary living. Suitable for use indoors only, with best results in low-traffic areas including bedrooms and living spaces.
Multiple sizes available. See options above to select your ideal size.
MaterialJute with latex backing
Made in India.
Care Information Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Avoid use in humid areas. Indoor use only. Vacuum on low setting. Avoid using the brush beater. Dab stains immediately using a clean, colourless, dry towel. Do not rub.
Your rug will be available approximately one to two weeks from your date of purchase. Our suppliers do everything they can to ensure they have all of their products in stock however if your rug does happen to be out of stock at the time of your order we will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note, not all sizes/styles are held in store. How to care for your jute runner.
Jute is a natural fibre and therefore requires additional care and maintenance to keep it looking its best. For ongoing maintenance of your rug, we recommend the following... Keep your rug out of direct sunlight. Rotate your rug often to even any discolouration. To prevent dust and crumbs from settling into your rug, vacuum regularly and/or shake. Beater bar vacuums are not recommended. Take care with brush attachments. Spot clean with cool, soapy water. Blot spills immediately with a white cloth. Do not bleach, use harsh chemicals or scrub. Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Use rug protectors under heavy furniture. Recommended for use in low-traffic indoor areas only.
Please note that natural fibres are more prone to staining than synthetic fibres. If your home is a busy one with children and pets, please consider carefully before purchasing this rug.
These rugs are handmade, and therefore slight size variation is to be expected. Please allow for up to a 5% variation in the size of your rug. Natural fibres produce varying results in colour and texture. Imperfections in the colour of the fibres, and in the weave are to be expected and are not considered to be faults.
Colour variation
Actual colours may vary. We take great care when photographing and editing our product images to ensure they reflect the true colours of the piece. Please be aware colours can look different from one screen to another. Colours can also appear differently when the item is in your home due to different lighting conditions and colours surrounding the runner. Natural fibres produce varying results in colour and texture. Imperfections in the colour of the fibres and in the weave are to be expected. These are not considered to be faults.
To ensure you have the best possible experience we strongly encourage you to purchase a sample before ordering your rug. Samples can be returned for a full refund or credit towards the purchase of a larger rug. These sample pieces allow you to see the rug in its intended space to properly experience the colours, materials and patterns. Any purchases made without a previous sample will not be able to be returned due to colour variation.
This is a special order product and is not able to be returned for an exchange or refund due to change of mind, or if it does not suit your home. We highly recommend taking extra care to check your measurements of both your home and the item you are ordering to avoid any disappointment.
Faults or other queries
If you believe you have received a product with a fault, please contact us by emailing shop@pepperwhites.com.au with your order or receipt number, and a member of our team will get in touch with you directly.
We encourage you to purchase a sample or 80x150cm rug before purchasing a larger size. These are fully refundable once returned to us.
Please take careful measurements to ensure you are happy with your design choice and size of rug before proceeding with your purchase. We want you to love the rug you buy from us, however if you change your mind, please note that you will be offered a store credit only. This does not expire and can be used at any time. This item must be returned, at your cost, to us within 14 days after you receive it and must be in unused “as new” condition. If you would prefer a refund, a 20% restocking fee will apply.
Use of Rug Recommendations
Please consider where you intend to place your rug. Rugs are intended to be placed on hard floors only. Do not place rugs on on carpeted floors where the rug will move, kick up and not sit flat. We will not accept returns where rugs have been placed in situations where the floors are carpeted or not perfectly flat and firm.
To ensure you receive your delivery as soon as possible, most of our rug orders are shipped directly from our supplier. You can expect your rug to arrive approximately seven to ten days from your date of purchase.
We are unable to provide an allocated delivery day and time. Please let us know if there is a secure location where your rug can be left if you are not home at time of delivery. Alternatively, you may chose to pick it up from our store.
SHIPPING CALCULATION
We are happy to offer free delivery on our rugs within Sydney metro areas. Please note that this free service does require someone to be home to receive the rug, or have a suitable spot for it to be left unattended (please leave us a note when you place your order). If this isn’t convenient, we can arrange for your rug to be available for collection from our store, or we can discuss alternative delivery methods. This may require a delivery fee. Delivery outside Sydney metro areas will require a special quote. Please contact a member of our team for more information.
